GENERAL INFORMATIONS
The wooden fish (木鱼 mù yú) is made from a sacred wooden block, hollowed out and split, struck with a stick. It was a percussion instrument used by priests and Buddhist monks to beat the rhythm when they chanted the sacred texts.
